Most people in the rural areas of Ghana live in poverty and lack basic things like quality education, clean water and good healthcare.
Few people have formal jobs and most families survive by growing whatever food they can to provide for themselves. These pressures can soon put children at risk – of life on the streets or needing to work to support their families at the cost of their education, which could help them secure their own future.
Our support - led entirely by local people - is helping families lift themselves out of poverty, empowering communities and strengthening the public and private sector to ensure that all children can be happy, healthy, safe and in school. By doing this, we are helping the next generation break the cycle of poverty for good.
